How to Start Dropshipping on Shopify in 7 Steps

If you’re looking to start a dropshipping business, Shopify is a great platform to use. Dropshipping is a business model in which you sell products without carrying any inventory yourself. When a customer places an order on your shop, you simply contact your supplier who will then ship the products directly to your customer. In this post, we’ll show you how to start dropshipping on Shopify in 7 easy steps.

1. Choose a Shopify plan

The first step is to sign up for a Shopify account. You can choose from 3 different plans: Basic Shopify, Shopify, and Advanced Shopify. The plan you choose will depend on your budget and needs. If you’re just starting out, we recommend the Basic Shopify plan.

2. Pick a theme for your store

Once you’ve signed up for a Shopify account, it’s time to pick a theme for your store. Shopify has a wide selection of both free and paid themes. Take some time to browse through the options and choose a theme that you think best suits your store.

3. Add products to your store

Now it’s time to add products to your store. You can either add products manually or import them from a CSV file. If you’re just starting out, we recommend adding products manually so that you can get a feel for how Shopify works.

4. Set up your payment gateway

Shopify offers a wide range of payment gateway options. In order to start accepting payments, you’ll need to set up a payment gateway. We recommend using Stripe as it’s one of the easiest to set up.

5. Choose a shipping method

Now that you’ve added products to your store and set up a payment gateway, it’s time to choose a shipping method. Shopify offers a few different shipping options, such as flat rate shipping and calculated shipping. Choose the shipping method that you think best suits your business.

6. Set up your taxes

If you’re selling products to customers in the United States, you’ll need to set up your taxes. This can be done in the “Settings” section of your Shopify admin.

7. Launch your store!

Once you’ve completed all of the above steps, your store is ready to launch. Congratulations, you are all set to go.
